DONBASSAERO Airlines was found in July 27, 1931  by an ordinance of  Stalino city council. Then in 1993 the airport Donetsk was build. There were a lot of changes and reconstructions during 70 years of our history. We have improved significantly our management and our technical capacities since that time.

	In 1974 runway reconstruction and equipment renewal were done in Donetsk airport. Then in 1975 a new terminal was build. Thus, the airport got a capability to operate aircrafts of any type, and increased passenger and cargo operations.
	In1982 we started to operate Yakovlev-42 - the aircraft of third generation. Our pilots and engineers successfully mastered this aircraft. We were first in ex-USSR who started international flights by this aircraft from 1983.
	In October 1991 we in Donetsk Unitary Aviation Group were given a new name as Donetsk Aviation enterprise.
	In 1992 a maintenance department of our enterprise was certified for fulfillment of overhaul of Yakovlev-42 aircraft. We did overhaul of our own Yak-42 and aircrafts that belong to other airlines from Vilnius, Krasnodar, Ul’yanovsk.
	We have been actively developing new international routs with in a period from 1993 till present. Nowadays we fulfill flights into mo that 40 countries worldwide.
	In February 1998 the Donetsk Aviation enterprise was renamed as  a State Air Company “Donbass – Eastern airlines of Ukraine”.
	In Oct 1, 2003 we got a status of Public Utility Company and a new brand name DONBASSAERO.

Nowadays DONBASSAERO is the leading airline of Ukraine by a number of aircrafts in its fleet. We base in Donetsk region that has powerfull economic capacity and more than 5000000 of population.
