Donbassaero Airline was established in 1933 as Donetsk Aviation Enterprise. In 2007, as a result of reorganization, the company received Donbassaero Airlines Ltd. status. It is based in the Donetsk airport – in the capital of the mine region in Ukraine. It specializes in scheduled and charter air transportation, as well as providing aircraft on lease.

In the beginning of 2007 Donbassaero together with "Aerosvit" airline (Kiev) has established a strategic alliance "Ukrainian Aviation Group", which was joined by the third carrier - "Dniproavia" in October 2010.
Established strategic alliance of the airlines allowed them to expand its flight network and routes, service offerings and service levels. There is the opportunity to purchase tickets to the flights of the Alliance and its partners anywhere in the world in the Alliance's own sales offices in Ukraine and abroad.
As part of the Alliance the airlines operate flights from Donetsk to Kiev directly as well as direct international flights to the points in the Middle East, Europe, the Caucasus and Russia.
In addition, Donetsk region is integrated into a broad network of domestic and international flights of Alliance’s members from the capital of Ukraine due to the high frequency of the regular flights of the partner companies between Donetsk and Kiev.

The program for frequent flyers "Meridian" is actively developing. It allows accumulating bonus miles not only for scheduled flights, but using the services of the partners of the Meridian program - mobile operators, hotels, car rental and sales companies.
 After accumulating the required number of miles, the participants of the program "Meridian" are given the bonus tickets on any scheduled flights of the alliance.

 A developing extensive network of the corporate customers buying the alliance’s flights with the discount enables to save the costs to the businesses and organizations.
The general alliance call-center allows you to get the professional advice about the flights of the alliance, to book and pay for transportation, insurance, special meals, to check out the number of accumulated miles of the program "Meridian", make reservations for groups of passengers and corporate clients.

At the present, "Donbassaero" airline replenishes its fleet with four Airbus 320 aircrafts, confirming the status of the largest Ukrainian operator of the aircrafts produced by the European concern Airbus. Airbus 320 and Airbus 321 are the aircrafts with the comfortable compartments by the European standards and long-range flights.

The company has already received three Airbus 320 aircrafts under the operating lease in June and July of this year; the arrival of the fourth aircraft is expected to the end of summer 2011.
After its expansion the Donbassaero’s fleet will total 10 aircrafts of Airbus 320, including nine Airbuses 320 and one Airbus 321.

The increase of the fleet will allow the company to strengthen its positions on the market of the charter flights from the Donetsk region to the resorts of Turkey, Egypt and Montenegro.

The aircrafts will also be used for the number of scheduled flights from Donetsk and Kiev to Moscow, Tel Aviv, Dubai, London, Larnaca, Baku, Almaty, Novosibirsk, Tashkent and other cities within the framework of the Alliance "Ukrainian Aviation Group".

The priority of the carrier is to ensure the passengers’ safety. In December 2010 "Donbassaero" became the first Ukrainian airline certified by the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine under the new requirements - in accordance with European regulations JAR-OPS1 (JAR-OPS1 standards include the availability and implementation of a detailed program to ensure safe and efficient activity of the airline).
