On the banks of this lake is situated one of the most important Mussulmanish shrines in the world – Hallah Sultan Tekke Mosque, a monastery. It is one of the oldest monasteries of Cyprus.

The best place for going around is Phynicudes Seafront lined up with palm trees. You can enjoy a beautiful view of the bay with tied up marine yachts. 

In Larnaca water rest is widely developed: diving, windsurfing, and boating. If you are a diving – lover, go on an underwater excursion to the sink ships not far from the city, for example to Her Majesty ship “Cricket” which sank in 1947(you can even enter through some bottom holes to the hull of the ship). Senobia Ferry is 197 meters long and weighs 10 000 tons. This ship is classified as one of the best sank ships for underwater exploration in the world.

Children can visit a little amusement - park. A coast of Larnaca is a continuous chain of wonderful beaches. The best one is considered Mackenzie Beach, which is not far from the Phynicudes Seafront. On the Palm Seafront the held concerts in the open air on Sundays from May till October.

Night life is concentrated in numerous bars and disk clubs. There is a wide choice of restaurants, bars and taverns. You can try delicious fish dishes and mezze. You can find interesting leather goods, man made silver goods, jewelry made of copper.
