Only mounts can be better than… mounts! So, they are worth to be climbed or rather, to be clambered up to discover the territory. Who can make it better than climber? Sure, it shall be organized expedition team! Such people have appeared- six inhabitants of Donetsk, extreme lovers led by Sergey Kovalyov, chairman of Regional Federation of Alpinism and Rock-Climbing; they have reached Kilimanjaro peak and have placed here Donbassaero' banner.

 

First, we got to Africa with a Donbassaero plane, later-with local means of conveyance and further we walked, of course. All the people withstood a travel despite the fact that Sergey Kovalyov was the only trained alpinist in our team. Other members of team were his friends-businesspeople. As Sergey said, he was not afraid to go with the people without appropriate training. «They understood where they go. Moreover, they are proved people-we had already gone in expeditions. Above all, it is necessary to withstand acclimatization, such temperature difference: +25 on the bottom and - 25 on the peak! We passed 15-17 kilometers a day».

As alpinists say, during the whole way the most danger for them were lions and wild monkeys. One of the monkeys even had managed to swipe a pair of boots and to put them on before eyes of travelers. Indeed, it could have not gone away very far- it can not have managed to jump on the lianas with boots. Poor monkey had fallen down! On the other hand, after falling, it was allowed taking swiped boots off it; it has listened with resignation jaw about bad behavior and gone its way.

 

Having reached the peak, alpinists had placed hereon banners of Donetsk region and the same of their official carrier Donbassaero Air Company. As they say, in spite of the fact that Donbassaero does not have lines to Africa, support of suchlike events is the first step to penetrate into this market also.
